When I first heard of it, I didn’t think it was important because I was still wrestling with blogs and blogging. I know, I am severely behind in my knowledge of the world wide web. It took me quite a while to realize that there was so much more to the net than identity theft and scams. There is a whole lot of those to be sure and they can definitely consume all your time but, from what transpired, blogging held my attention the longest because there is something about the written word that attracts me. This is not to say that I am good at it but I just love writing stuff. It makes no difference that there was no readership. Writing was all I needed to keep me well content. Well, for a little bit, anyway. I got sick of doing the same boring things, namely, writing and blogging, or more importantly, I ran out of things to write about. I had to have a change to keep from going crazy and I turned my attention on other stuff like finding an audience. So I spent some time looking at social bookmarking. Nothing heavy, just surface-skimming stuff like, how does it work and simple things like that. The excellent thing with social bookmarking sites is that it is is no rocket science. You sign up and submit your sites and they accept it. Then the magic begins. Search engines find your sites and index them. cool! I have had a site rank in number one on Google’s search pages after I submitted it to a few social bookmarking sites.
